To the children:
I've known your dad for over 30 years. I will miss hitting the candy barrel in his lunch room. Please take comfort in knowing that your dad always spoke of you with much love and pride. He was truly "one of a kind". I say that with a smile on my face. It was always fun just to stop in and visit him at work and get his "perspective" on what was going on. Please know that he will be missed by so
many of his co-workers. I will keep all of you in my prayers. My sincerest condolences to all of you.

Geneva, Becky, Doug, Amy, Adam, Cheryl, Marissa, Daniel, Austin and Alexandria:  I'm truly so very sorry for the loss of your son, brother, Dad,
husband, and grandpa.  Daniel always treated me with the utmost respect and kindness and for that I will always be grateful.  And even though he was sometimes a bit quiet he did have a great sense of humor which I thoroughly enjoyed.  May God comfort each of you at this sad time and bring you peace knowing that Daniel is no longer suffering.  Sincerely,
Libby Pollock

Dan, we had some great times together as young men in Michigan City.  I remember the times at Anchorage on Franklin St.; at the lake; doing donuts in the parking lot with that old chevy impala; hanging out at the radio station; going to German dances in Gary; swiping a bottle of homemade wine from my mom's basement while one of us kept her occupied; catting the 'drag' on a Friday or Saturday night.  God grant you peace and rest Dan.
