So very sorry to learn of Cathy's passing. My sincerest sympathies to her family. We were childhood friends, attending Edgewood Elementary together, and graduating from Elston in 1964. Our families were friends, enjoying sports (Go Irish) and other social events for decades. The last time Cathy and I saw each other was at the 45th high school reunion, and she was all smiles and very proudly talking about her wonderful family. May you find strength in your faith and know that she will be with you always. Rest in peace dear friend.

To Michael and family: when I first met Cathy we were working at the News Dispatch back in 1990 as Inserters and from then we had a good friendship. The next time I saw her was at Meijers in the women dept but a few years later I completely lost contact with her and would often think about her until I looked at the obituary as saw this, I was and still in shock. To me, and I'm not just saying this, she was someone that I could share my cries to and she would make me laugh some kind of way. I only have good memories of her that will keep me strong. For you all just try and keep your spirits up, I'm sure it's tough but the good Lord will find a way to let her family be and stay strong. Take care and be blessed.

I want to thank you for helping my husband through his days of fighting cancer. While he was still able to do so, he would do our grocery shopping at Meijer's. He would search for you and I know your talks with him always made his day quite a bit brighter. Thank you, Cathy. God's love and condolences to your family. Your pain is now over. R.I.P.

So many memories. We had known each other for probably 60+ years. Our parents were friends, our mothers were Girl Scouts together, and we all got together from time to time during our school years. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and I know Cathy is in a better place. We will miss seeing her at our class reunions....should we all be graced to be at the next one..
