Cathy Lou Bentley, 70, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 5:30 pm in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor Mark Reshan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 9:00 am -11:00 am, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

She was born February 9, 1946 in Michigan City, IN to the late Harold G. and Betty Jane (Taylor) Biederstaedt.

Surviving are son, Michael (Wendy) Bentley of La Porte, IN; two grandchildren, Jessica Bentley and Scot Bentley both of LaPorte, IN; Good Friends, Sharon (Richard) Barnes of La Porte, IN. She was preceded in death by both her parents.

She was a Stocker at Meijer. She was a 1964 graduate of Issac C. Elston High School. She received her Associate Degree in Commercial Arts from Ray Vogue Art College in 1966. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and reading. She was a committee member for Elston high school reunion - class of 1964. She worked elections in Michigan Township as a poll worker and electioneer every year since 1971. Cathy was an avid Notre Dame Football and Basketball fan. She enjoyed playing and spending time with her grandchildren.
