Yvonne K. Jaske, 61, LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at 3:10 am surrounded by her family in Hospice Franciscan Communities, Michigan City, IN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm, Tuesday and from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Wednesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born October 18, 1955 in Holland, Michigan to the late Ronald and Verna (Bontekoe) Muckway. On September 20, 1975 in Michigan City, IN she married Mark Jaske who survives in LaPorte, IN.

Also surviving are her daughter, Kara (Sean Conroy) Jaske of Chicago, IL; Son, Eric (Kelly) Jaske of Fishers, Indiana; three grandchildren, Mallory, Lauren and Madeline Jaske, all of Fishers, IN; brother, Douglas (Victoria) Muckway of Michigan City, Indiana; and her sister, Linda Muckway of Muncie, Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Laura Muckway.

She was an administrative assistant at NIPSCO. She retired in 2010 after 33 years as a clerical administrative assistant with NIPSCO. Yvonne was a member of Queen of all Saints Catholic Church, The American Brain Tumor Association and the Darlin' Divots Golf League. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the Michiana Hematology Oncology Center, The Share Foundation for the Handicapped and the Women's Support Center. Yvonne was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to read, travel and spend time with her family and friends. She loved life, helping others and always being there for those who needed and loved her. Yvonne has been an inspiration to other cancer patients and feels blessed she was able to give them hope.
