Robert J. "Rob" Grant, 37, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 101 St. John Road, Michigan City, IN with Pastor William Fine officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana and Wednesday from 12:00 pm till 1:00 pm at St. John's United Church of Christ. The FOP Dunes Lodge #75 will conduct a Memorial Service Wednesday at the cemetery.

He was born August 25, 1977 in Michigan City, Indiana to Phillip Grant and Laura Powers Grant. In Michigan City, Indiana on September 9, 2006 he married Lindsay N. Gardner, who survives LaPorte, Indiana; Also surviving are two daughters, Makayla and Maura Grant both of LaPorte, Indiana; Mother, Laura Grant, Michigan City, Father, Phillip (Ann) Grant along with Rob's brother Triston Grant of Wisconsin; Grandparents Robert & Betty Powers of Michigan City, Indiana; Uncles, Russell (Sue) Powers, Paul Powers both of Michigan City, Indiana; Cousins, Beth, Bre, James, Lexy, Stephanie and David, and brother-in-law, Chris whom he had a special relationship with; He was preceded in death by his Uncles, James Powers, Charles Brooks and Aunt, Sue Brooks;

Rob was a member of the FOP Dunes Lodge #75. He had a sincere love for his pets to include his K-9 partner Henry, Trigger, Nala, Wrigley, Bella and his cat Striker. Rob was the best father and loved his girls which he referred to them by their special names Booper and Pretty Princess.
