Marilyn R. Kintzele, 64, 2559 Shannon Lane, Kokomo, Indiana, formerly of Michigan City passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 25, 2012 in her home.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 10th & Buffalo Streets., Michigan City with the Rev. Walter Rakoczy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be from 6pm till 8pm this Thursday & Friday from 11:30am till 12:30pm at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
She was born April 19, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Albert W. & Corinne A. (Lubke) Kintzele . Surviving are 2 Brothers, Karl D. (Fran) Kintzele of Michigan City, Indiana and Philip L. Kintzele of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Numerous cousins also survive.
Ms. Kintzele was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Michigan City. Currently she was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Kokomo, Indiana. She received her BS from Purdue University and MBA from Indiana University. She was a Certified Public Accountant at Crowe, Chizek & Co., LLC, South Bend from 1970-1974, and since 1977 was professor of accounting at Indiana University/Kokomo campus, Kokomo, Indiana. She was involved in many campus activities including serving as Chair of the Academic Senate for several years. She also was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana Society of CPA's.
