I just found out your Mom died. I am so sorry Marcy. I lost my Mom a couple of years ago at 92. Life is never quite the same.

Thank you Marcy, for your card and sweet words, letting me know of you mothers passing. We loved it when she came to visit us in California, first with your dad and then with Ron. We always had a great time! She was the first woman I ever knew who had her own business and a family and energy to spare! She was wonderful when my mother was ill.. I'll be in Michiana 8/9-8/14.

We enjoyed the times that brother Ron and Iris visited us in California, and always felt close to Iris. She was a delight! We send our sympathy to Iris's family.

sorry to hear of Iris's passing I met her lots of years ago. Marcy you were a baby. She and your dad introduced me to my future husband Al Tiede. She was a wonderful person and lots of fun.

Mrs. Weidner was a very nice mom around the neighborhood. She gave all the kids their haircuts and in the summer we all looked alike because all the moms would want Iris to give us the "pixie" cut. Iris was an inspiration as a woman, she worked hard and seemed to enjoy it. All the students studying to be nurses aids loved her because her zeal for life shown through her eyes until the very end. Marcy and family, we are thinking of you during this sad time.

I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. I remember the many great times spent at the Weinder home. All of us friends were always welcomed and were treated like family by Iris and Bill. My thoughts are with you all as you go through the worst that life brings us..

.I grew up across the street from the Weidners. As kids, Marcy and I and all the neighborhood kids were at the beach all four seasons , or in trees, or at each others' houses. One of my favorite childhood memories of Mrs. Weidner is of us hiding in Marcy's basement and listening to the ladies gossiping while getting their hair done. I remember Iris had a big convertible and always looked great as she drove with her hands crossed on the top of the steering wheel. Marcy and I rode in the back and hid on the floor and at stop signs we would pop up and make ridiculous outbursts...We thought we were hilarious........My sincere condolences to Marcy and Jeff and family......Rest in Peace, Iris.........
