How many years has it been since we played sand lot baseball in the field across the street? Your mother was a neighborhood Mom, always there, always available for the skinned knee, a welcome word and a safe shelter if needed. Your loss is also a loss for everyone who knew her. The world is a little less comfortable without her.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of bringing the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist to Dorothy every few weeks. I always looked forward to my visits and listening to the many stories. Although I am a member of Sacred Heart here in La Porte as was Dorothy the last few years, she left no doubt that her heart was still at Queen of All Saints. She was a wonderful person and I will miss her.
