Paul,
I am so sad to hear about the legendary Dolly's passing. She was as much fun as you could possibly be. Besides being  a rare beauty on the outside she had an inner compass that kept the fun on an even keel. I will miss her . Take good care of yourself, Paul, she is watching over you.

Didn't know Dolly very well but could tell from our brief conversations at Curves that she was someone I would have hung out with.  We both attended Kelly High School in Chicago, though not at the same time.  So we had similar memories from the old neighborhood.  Friendly down to earth woman, I'll miss and think about her often.

What a WOMAN... Dolly.....
You, her  family, and all of her friends, were so lucky to have her in your lives for so long......surely not long enough... now she will be sharing her light with God......
I was always lucky, to be able to admire her energy, laughter and love of her husband and children from afar, and was always welcomed as a friend, whenever our paths crossed. She will be remembered as a lover of her family, people and the arts.  We as a community were lucky to have her influence in our midst touching many lives for the good in so many ways.....Blessings to you

Tom and I are very sad to hear of Dolly's death. She was such a fun person to find at the store, at the beach, at church. We have been gone from Long Beach for a long time but she always spoke as though we had been there yesterday.
We will remember her fondly.

We were both profoundly shocked at the passing of our friend Dolly. We found her to be such an upbeat open person and always so accepting of others in her role as an arts administrator.  She was a always friend first and foremost and later when she left that post.  She will be missed!

Few people can brighten a room just by entering it. Few have
their arms open with a warm hug for all. Few bring light and
love by their very being. This was Dolly. And she will glow
in the hearts of many as we remember her often. My deep
condolences to the Marshall family at this time of loss.

This woman was a very important part of my life.  My childhood is filled with memories or summers spent at the beach, peanut butter, jelly and sand sandwiches, and lots of laughter.  My falls are filled with memories of train rides from Chicago, with my grandmother, fall leaves, crayons and wax paper.  Even as an adult, Uncle Paul and Aunt Dolly were important.  Dave and I choose them to be the godparents of our first child, Joshua.  I wanted these special people to be a big part of his life and to have memories with them as well.  You were loved deeply and will be missed a greatly
