Dorothy M. Troth, 98, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at 5:02 am in Hospice Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City, IN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN 46360 and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Private family burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Michigan City, IN.

She was born February 25, 1918 in Ogontz, MI to the late John and Ida (Heric) Papineau. On October 26, 1940 in Michigan City, IN she married George B. Troth who preceded July 1, 1965.

Surviving are daughter, Susan (Byron) Hunt of La Porte, IN; three sons, Michael (Kathy) Troth, Richard (Dawn) Troth, David (Jari) Troth all of La Porte, IN; 9 - Grandchildren; 15 - Great-Grandchildren; 2 - Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her parents, husband; three sisters, Merle Flotow, Flossie Tortorici, Betty Engstrom; four brothers, Earle Papineau, John Lee Papineau, Francis Papineau, and Ashley "Pat" Papineau.

Dorothy was a clerical office worker at Superior Court #1. She was the oldest parishioner of Queen of all Saint's Catholic Church of Michigan City, IN & Sacred Heart Catholic Church of La Porte, IN. She was also a founding parishioner of Queen of All Saints. She was a member of the Queen of All Saints Rosary Sodality, Tuesday recreation club of Swanson Center of La Porte, Michigan City Senior Center, and sang in the Consolation Choir of Queen of All Saints.
