William K. Burns, 67, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 7:37 pm in VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, Indiana.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.

He was born June 2, 1953 in Michigan City, IN to the late Lloyd and Thelma (Dolph) Burns.

Surviving are two sisters, Diana J. Glosser of Michigan City, IN, Sandra H. Burns of Michigan City, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; two special-friends, Thomas Eldridge, Douglas Wood. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Burns.

William retired in 2019 after working for 13 years at Ridge Auto parts in Michigan City. He was a 1971 graduate from Elston High School. Upon graduation he proudly went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1972-1976. William enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, wrestling, and old movies.
