Sherman Noble Sr., 79, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 7:49 am at his home in, Michigan City, Indiana.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm -8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 2, 2020 and from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
He was born May 14, 1941 in Breathitt Co., Kentucky to the late Hargis and Mary Ellen (Miller) Noble. On December 26, 1964 in Clintwood, VA he married Wanda Sue (Morgan) Noble who survives in Michigan City, Indiana.
Also surviving are son, Sherman (Emily Craig) Noble Jr.; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Pipkin-Noble, Linda Ann (Paul William Sr.) Cockriel of Michigan City, IN; four grandchildren, Tasha Marie Steele, Darnell Marcus Noble, Paul William Cockriel, II, Jaslyn Marie Cockriel; six great-grandchildren, Tavia Marie Steele, Izabella Grace Cockriel, Zayden Jace Noble, Paul William Cockriel, III, Abel Grant Cockriel, Xander Kai Noble; two sisters, Hazel Salyers, Roseabelle Williams; four brothers, Beacheer Noble, Berton Noble, Lonnie Noble, Roy Noble; He was preceded in death by son-in-law, John Sowell Pipkin.
Sherman retired in 2017 as a self-employed plumber. He was a "jack of all trades", who could fix anything. He was a chief, and landlord of a large apartment building, and did body and fender work on cars. His family was everything to him and will be greatly missed.
