Rose M. (Henson) Stewart

Rose M. Stewart, 75, The Pines, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 6:25 pm in La Porte, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor Jerry Vernon officiating. Private family burial will take place in Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, IN at a later date. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St. Michigan City, Indiana.    

She was born April 6, 1945 in Drakesboro, KY to the late David and Mary (Bethel) Henson. On August 31, 1963 in Shawne Town, IL she married James A. Stewart who preceded August 22, 2003.

Surviving are daughter, Lisa (Raul) Villarreal of La Porte, IN; son, Jeffrey (Lori) Stewart of Elkhart, IN; two sisters, Joan McEuen of Russellville, KY, Corene Richardson of Horse Cave, KY; four grandchildren, Amanda (Adan) Lopez of Harlingen, TX, Jeffrey (Rocio) Stewart of La Porte, IN, Keith (Christin) Holzer of La Porte, IN, Kevin (Alicia) Holzer of La Porte, IN; eleven great-grandchildren, Evan, Caitie, Connor, Cassandra, Grayson, Bella, Melanie, David, Paula, Esmeralda, Juanito. She was preceded in death by brother, Ernest Jackson.    

Rose retired from Michiana Resources as a packer. She was a very charitable person and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
