Rodney Brooks Wahl, 42, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Visitation will be from  3 p.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral chapel. Cremation will follow the service.    

He was born February 28, 1980, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Rodney and Sherry (Haney) Wahl.

Surviving are his father, Rod (Kellie) Wahl of La Porte; mother, Sherry Miller of Joshua, TX; five children, Thalia Klosinski, Brooklyn Klosinski, Khloe Wahl, Reece Hernandez, and Jace Hernandez; fiance, Jessica Huston of Michigan City, IN; brother, Craig Wahl of Phoenix, AR; step sister, Kodie (Tyler) Kinney of Mill Creek, IN; aunt, Rhonda Henderson of Michigan City, IN; and two uncles, John (Luann) Wahl of La Porte, IN, and Grant (Mary) Wahl of Chesterton, IN.

Working at various restaurants in the area Brooks loved cooking for his loved ones and spending time in the kitchen with his daughters. He also enjoyed tinkering with car audio. He designed tattoos for many people. He was super goofy when he thought no one was looking.
