Mary R. Stevens, 94, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 7:00 am in her home.

Private family services will be conducted. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born January 8, 1926 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Joe and Kitty (Simmons) Farmer. On October 29, 1946 in Huffman, Arkansas she married Willie L. Stevens who preceded her in death on March 12, 1999.

Surviving are two daughters, Freda Vaughan and Sue (Robert) Kieffer of LaPorte, Indiana; son, Freddy (Phyllis) Stevens of Michigan City, IN; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Davidson of Lilbourn, Missouri and Jessie Stevens of Blytheville, Arkansas.

She was also preceded in death by seven sisters, Edna Pennington, Elizabeth Turner, Katie Gardner, Val Hall, Georgie Chapman, Jewel Branch and Lorraine Rood; and four brothers, Billy Farmer, Virgil Farmer, J.B. Farmer and Junior Farmer.

Mary had worked as a clerk at Continental Baking Co. and was a member of Harvest Time Church of God.
