Lee R. Timm

Lee R. Timm, 88, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 2:05 p.m. in Trail Creek Place, Michigan City, with his beloved wife by his side.

Private family services will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, Indiana is handling the arrangements.

He was born October 29, 1934 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Hugo and Mary (Rhoda) Timm. On June 21, 1975, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Sally "Jane" (Coar) Timm, who survives. 

Also surviving are his son, Brian (Kristy) Timm of Carrollton, VA; granddaughter, Stephanie Ufeldinger of TX; grandson, Shawn (Megan) Timm of Portsmouth, VA; four great-grandchildren, Cailey and Madison, both of VA, Chloe and Adalynn both of TX. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd W. Timm; and sister, Lois Nesvold.

Lee was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Michigan City, Indiana. He retired as a clerk after 30 years of service from the United States Postal Service. Lee was a member of the American Postal Workers Union, Trail Creek Booster Club, Michigan City Senior Center, and honorably served in the United States Army in the Philadelphia and Chicago Air Defense Command. An avid animal lover especially for his Schnauzers, Maggie and Heidi.
