Jaclyn Ann Santana Gonser
February 5, 1956 - January 16, 2021 


Jackie Gonser, 64, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:37 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City from complications of COVID-19. 

Due to COVID-19, private family services will be conducted. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements. 

She was born February 5, 1956 in Michigan City, IN to the late Abram and Jamel (Daher) Santana. On February 11, 1983 in Michigan City, IN she married Donald Gonser who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are three daughters, Meagan (Tom) Carlon of Rockledge, FL; Amanda Gonser of Dallas, TX, and Mallory Gonser of Evansville, IN; sister, Judi (Albert, Jr.) Schnick of Ocoee, FL; three brothers, David Santana, Richard (Beth) Santana, and Jeff (Julie) Santana, all of Michigan City, IN; many cousins, nieces and nephews; best fur-friend, L'eggo; and a special Sito to Landen, Noelle, and Gracelyn.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Joann Santana, Joni Santana, and Jamie (Santana) Porter; and her brother, Edward Santana.

Jackie was an Assistant Store Manager at Al's Supermarket in Michigan City and also aided in Human Resources for Lakeshore Foods. She enjoyed antiquing, socializing, watching Hallmark movies, and being around her family. 

Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545 in Jackie’s name on behalf of her family and friends affected by cancer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may also be made to Donald Gonser.
