Barbara (Czapska) Stefanek

Barbara Stefanek, 87, Beverly Shores, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at 5:53 am at her home in, Beverly Shores, Indiana.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 2, 2020 at St. Ann of the Dunes Roman Catholic Church, 433 Golf Wood Rd., Beverly Shores, Indiana with Rev. Jon Plavcan officiating. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.

She was born June 29, 1933 in Warsaw, Poland to the late Sophie (Rostomian) Kucharski. On January 22, 1955 in Chicago, IL she married Leopold Stefanek who preceded in April of 1977.

Surviving are son, George Stefanek of Beverly Shores, IN; daughter, Danette (Stan) Sterna of Homer Glen, IL; two grandchildren, Michael Sterna, Jessica Sterna; two cousins, Zosia Rostomian of Berkeley, CA, Iza Surawski of Chicago, IL.

Barbara was a member of St. Ann of the Dunes Roman Catholic Church in Beverly Shores and the Dunes Woman's Club. She enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker. She was also a lover of all kinds of animals, especially her 3 cats.
