William Hudock Obituary

William G. Hudock

September 13, 1948 - November 3, 2018

William G. Hudock, 70, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:53 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Private family services will be conducted. His grave in Greenwood Cemetery will be marked for those of you who may find the need to pay your respects. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born September 13, 1948 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late George and Sarah (Inglis) Hudock. On June 15, 1973 in Michigan City, Indiana he married Christine Hansen who he was faithfully married to for 45 years which was actually longer than anyone thought he would live including himself. She survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are three brothers, Robert Hudock of Westville, Indiana, Joseph (Vicci) Hudock of Gold Bar, Washington and James (Connie) Hudock of Michigan City, Indiana; sister, Lillian (Terrence) Kuhn of Michigan City, Indiana; four nephews, Justin, Adam, Bob and Tom; four nieces, Laura, Deanna, Kathy and Samantha; and several great nieces and great nephews.

He graduated form Isaac C. Elston High School in 1967 always saying it was the best five years of his life. Bill reluctantly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1970 in Vietnam only because he could not speak French. When he returned from his only out of country trip there were a couple of lost years. He then married and joined NIPSCO where worked for 36 years, retiring in 2008. He liked to shoot, fish, ride is Harley and loved his cigars.

Bill wanted to say: "So long and good by to my few close friends. I only had a few and always regretted not taking the time to make more. I hope you know who you are and why I was so glad to have known you. In closing I would like to borrow a line from a movie I once saw: In our life time they say we die twice. Once when the breath leaves our body then again when the last person who knew us says our name. Then we are truly dead because all of the stories are gone and forgotten forever."

Contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
