Sandra L. (Butzler) Dingman, 69, Powder Springs, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Powder Springs Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Powder Springs, Georgia.

Private family services will be conducted. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, IN. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm, Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

Sandy was born June 27, 1949 in Michigan City, IN to the late Walter and Mary (Woodard) Butzler. On November 2, 1968 she married the late Donald G. Dingman in Michigan City, IN. She is survived by 3 daughters, Starla (Jim) Musgrave of LaPorte, IN, Jyll (Ashli) Linkhorn of Mableton, GA, Joalissa Yoon of Los Angeles, CA, 5 sons Gery (Lola) Dingman of Kodak, TN, Jeremy Dingman of Valparaiso, IN, Geoffrey (Christina) Dingman of South Bend, IN, Joel (Belynda) Dingman of Vine Grove, KY, Stephen Bentley of South Bend, IN, 14 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren; 1 brother Bob (Jackie) Butzler of Michigan City, IN and 3 sisters Julie (Greg) Walenga of Rolling Prairie, IN, Darlene (Greg) Switt of Valparaiso, IN, Connie (Gary) Burnham of Michigan City, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Dingman, daughter Jody Dingman, parents Walter and Mary (Woodard) Butzler, and 2 brothers Russell and Daniel Butzler.

Mrs. Dingman was a homemaker, raising over 120 foster children in 20 years. She could remember all of their names and loved giving to everyone. She was affiliated with Evergreen Baptist Church and Free United Methodist Church both Michigan City.
