Norbert John Borzych, 89, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:54 pm in Brentwood of La Porte.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Otis, Indiana, 101 N. Church St., Otis, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Illinois. Visitation will beWednesday from 8:30 am -10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Otis, Indiana. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

He was born June 1, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harry J. and Martha (Plywaczynski) Borzych, Sr.. On May 3, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois he married Theresa Celine Tanbernacki, who survives La Porte, Indiana. Also surviving are two daughters, Maria Rose (Dr. Edward) St. Ville of Lake Forest, Illinois and Nancy (Joseph) Skalka of Laporte, Indiana; two sons, John Norbert (Linda) Borzych of Westville, Indiana and Stephen (Traci) Borzych of Westville, Indiana along with 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Borzych and two brothers, Arthur Borzych and Harry J. Borzych, Jr.;

He was the retired owner/operator of Norbert's Motel and a builder. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Otis, Indiana. He also was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 531 having worked as an electrician for Ted Hill. Norbert was also an avid CB'er going by the handle "Indiana Jones".
