William L. Ginther, 86, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 7:00 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

He was born January 5, 1940 in Michigan City, IN to the late Wayne and Catherine (Peo) Ginther. On February 13, 1993 in Michigan City, IN he married Barbara Conrad who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are his son, Mark (Kim Greene) Ginther of Michigan City, IN; daughter, Mary Ginther Pearson of Michigan City, IN; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 

He is also preceded by his son, Jeffrey Ginther.

William retired from the Michigan City Fire Department and then drove truck for 20 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran as well as a member of the St. Joseph Young Men's Society, F.O.P. Dunes Lodge 75 and a life member of the Moose Family Center 980. William enjoyed golfing and was an avid Chicago White Sox and Buffalo Bills fan.
