Warren M. Knudson

Warren Marsden Knudson of Michigan City, Indiana, died on May 22, 2019. He was born on February 24, 1929, in Etna, CA, to Rev. Porter and Ruth Knudson. As a "preacher’s kid," he moved several times during his youth, finishing high school in Susanville, CA.
In 1946, he went east to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, earning his B.A. in 1950. It was there he met Ruth Helm; they married November 1, 1952.
Warren was an independent salesman of medical supplies and sundries for many years, and later as a worked as a desk clerk at Red Roof Inn. He was active in church and civic affairs in Michiana Shores, and was a Trustee of First Congregational Church of Michigan City, IN. He enjoyed the company of the "ROMEOs" and other friends.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Newell P. Knudson. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Helm Knudson and their son, Mark E. Knudson, both of Michigan City, IN, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Warren’s life will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019 at noon, at Christ Church (formerly First Congregational Church) 531 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN. Remembrances may be made to Smile Train, or to the donor’s favorite charity. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
