Wallace W. Sacks, 90, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at 1:00 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Hanna Cemetery, Hanna, IN with Pastor Larry Owen officiating. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born May 23, 1931 in Hanna, IN to the late Louie and Leona (Werner) Sacks. On March 7, 1953 in La Porte, IN he married Phyllis Hall who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are her son, Garry (Cheryl) Sacks of Michigan City, IN; six grandchildren, Isaac (Kari) Sacks, Steven Sacks, Andrew (Cassie) Sacks, Heather (Ryan) Eddy, Jacob (Kim) LeFavour and Emily LeFavour; 15  great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Shurte of Wanatah, IN and Lorna McCoy of Hanna, IN; and her son-in-law, Reid LeFavour of Las Vegas, NV.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Diane LeFavour; and two sisters, Bernice Lung and Ellen Rose Kellems.

Wallace was a retired school teacher for over 36 years.   He taught at Rolling Prairie, New Prairie and Elston High School. Wallace was a man of Great Character who was highly respected by many.  He enjoyed reading the Bible, working out in the yard, painting, woodworking and a handyman to many.   He also enjoyed watching and playing sports with his son and grandsons never missing a game.
