Thomas Mellen Obituary

Thomas Christopher Mellen
July 25, 1963 - July 24, 2022

Thomas Christopher Mellen (TCM) passed away peacefully on July 24, 2022 after a brief illness.

TCM was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 25, 1963 to the late Joseph H. and Joan (Lauzon) Mellen, II.  TCM is survived by his beloved son, Cole (Delaney McBride), and step-daughters, Jhana (Matthew) Siegmund and Adrian (Tyler) Logan.

Also surviving are brothers Tim (Lori) Mellen, AJ (Jill) Mellen, Dan (Kimmy) Mellen, John (Beth) Mellen, Kevin (Jeremiah) Mellen, Matt (Emily) Mellen, sister-in-law Janet Mellen, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  TCM was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe and Mikey, and favorite niece, Jenny.

TCM was president of TCM Builders - building and remodeling custom homes in the Michiana area for over 25 years. He enjoyed hosting the family parties - particularly Halloween and Christmas, where the whole Mellen clan would gather at his home. He loved camping, watching sports and throwing bags.

TCM’s greatest passion and source of pride was his son, Cole. He dedicated his life to being the best father he could be. From coaching Cole in little league to coaching him into becoming the wonderful young man he is today, TCM never had a day go by that didn’t involve being a father to Cole.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
