Suzanne M. (Grott) Bishop

Suzanne M. Bishop, 83, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 9:15 am at her home in, La Porte, Indiana.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 31, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with  Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be from 8:30 am -9:30 am, Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.     

She was born March 4, 1937 in Porter County Indiana to the late Lawrence H. and Cieclia E. (Timm) Grott. On June 10, 1961 in Wanatah, Indiana she married Richard Bishop who survives in La Porte, Indiana.

Also surviving are four sons, Steven (Betty) Bishop of Hudson Lake, IN, Michael (Susan) Bishop of La Porte, IN, David (Gretchen) Bishop of Winchester, CA, Patrick (Lisa) Bishop of La Porte, IN; two daughters, Donna (Curtis) Hager of La Porte, IN, Diana Bishop of La Porte, IN; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Norman (Gerry) Grott of Union Mills, IN; sister, Francis Muller of La Porte, IN. She was preceded in death by son, Darren Bishop.    

Suzanne worked various different jobs over the years, but her main job was a homemaker raising her seven children. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Michigan City. Suzanne enjoyed doing many different arts and crafts, sewing, traveling, and camping.
