Susan M. Gulstrom, 81, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 10:30 am in Life Care Center of Michigan City surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

She was born November 8, 1940 in Michigan City, IN to the late James and Helen (Levendoski) Van Gilder. On January 20, 1962 in Michigan City, IN she married Gene Gulstrom who preceded in death on July 31, 2020.

Surviving are two sons, Brian (Dawn) Gulstrom of Houston, TX and Stephen (Peri) Gulstrom of Collierville, TN; daughter, Pamela (Marc) Wojcik of Brookfield, WI; two sisters, Sharon Bonfield and Alyce Schwanke; brother, Thomas (Nancy) Van Gilder; eight grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Valerie, Max, Andrew, Jenna, Reid and Gabrielle; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

She retired from Members Advantage Credit Union (Formerly the Catholic Federal Credit Union). Over the course of her life she enjoyed Elston High School sports, I.U. Basketball, attending and volunteering at St. Mary's Church, her PEK friends, entertaining at home, pool parties, collecting antiques, cross stitching and playing with grandchildren.
