Steven E. "Quake" Kreighbaum, 67, Trail Creek, IN, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 10:35 am in St. Joseph Health System, Mishawaka, IN.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements. 

He was born November 13, 1953 in Long Island, NY to the late Arthur "Artie” and Ruth (Groach) Kreighbaum. On July 8, 1988 in Michigan City, IN he married Leslye Parry who survives in Trail Creek, IN.

Also surviving are a daughter, Lindsay Kreighbaum of Trail Creek, IN; son, Tyler (Britney) Kreighbaum of Rolling Prairie, IN; two grandsons, Hank and Cole Kreighbaum; sister, Karen Kreighbaum of Michigan City, IN; three brothers, Mark (Tammy) Kreighbaum of Michigan City, IN, Alan (Julie) Kreighbaum of Michigan City, IN and Kent (Patty) Kreighbaum of Westville, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve retired after 26 years as a firefighter with the Michigan City Fire Department and was a 50 plus year Lake Michigan Charter Boat Captain of the Crorkindill. He was a member of Orak Shrine, Hoosier Coho Club, National Wild Turkey Federation Galena River Chapter and was an avid fisherman, hunter and hard worker.
