Stacy E. Heath-Thode , 64, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at 1:44 pm in La Porte Hospital, La Porte, IN.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the D.A.V. Chapter #23, 2301 Ohio St., Michigan City, IN. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born February 14, 1956 in Michigan City, IN to the late Denzil and Joyce (Mansfield) Heath . On September 22, 2001 in Michigan City, IN she married Darwin Thode who preceded her on May 8, 2015.

Surviving are four step-sons, Jerry Thode of Jacksonville, FL, David (Brenda) Thode of LaPorte, IN, Darwin (Natielle) Thode of Jacksonville, FL and Jonathan Thode of Westville, IN; two sisters, Julie Langford and Diane Murdock, both of Michigan City, IN; twelve grandchildren, Tyler (Haley) Thode, Jake (Bre) Thode, Ashley (DD) Brown, Amber Holtgren, Wallace Thode, Katieauna Thode, Zoey Thode, Zachary Thode, Brandon Tincher, Angle Sacks, Megan (Steve) Bramer and Haley Thode; 18 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Jamie (Eric Levine) Thode and Julie (Kerry) Moore; two nephews, Robert Short and Grayling (Krystal) Murdock; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her special friend, Donald Harrison.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Susan Heath; nephew, Charles D. Short, II; a grandson and her great-great-nephew.
