Sherawn Taneal Chappell
August 15, 1975 - October 5, 2025 

Sherawn Taneal Chappell, 50, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, Indiana is handling the arrangements.    

She was born on August 15, 1975, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Elvin Chappell and Vicki (Stribling) Kuzio. 

Surviving are her mother, Vicki Kuzio of Michigan City, Indiana; son, Kyle Fugate of Michigan City, Indiana; brother, Shane (Nicole) Chappell Sr. of Michigan City, Indiana; best friend, Allen Fugate; two grandchildren, Audri and Amiah Fugate; nieces and nephews, Alexis Ringstad, BreAnna Chappell, Austin Chappell, Johnathon Chappell, Autumn (Nichole) Chappell and Serenity Chappell; and great nieces and nephews, Ellie, Lexton, Larrison, Sophia, Jedidiah, and Finn. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Elvin Chappell; son, Travis Clemons; nephew, Shane Chappell Jr.; and husband, Scott Clemons Sr.

Sherawn lived a free-spirited life. She had a deep almost spiritual connection to the moon and had a grand appreciation for nature. Sherawn loved the outdoors and enjoyed the sightings of butterflies. She held a big heart with not a mean bone in her body. Sherawn loved everyone she met and was so very giving and loving. She will be truly missed from this world.
