Ruth Ann Leeds, 77, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 6:23 am in Aperion Care-Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, December 14, 2020 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. Private family burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana.  Visitation hours will be from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm, Sunday and from 12:00 pm until time service Monday in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

She was born July 19, 1943 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Herman C. and Helen (Sack) Carter. On April 23, 1994 in Michigan City, Indiana she married James C. Leeds, who preceded her in death on December 5, 1995.  Surviving are daughter, Nancy (Darren) Swanson of Michigan City, Indiana; two sons, Kenneth Mashburn of Michigan City, Indiana, Thomas (Kristie) Mashburn of La Porte, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Amber (Jerry) Archer, Autumn Mashburn, Kenneth Mashburn, Jr., Kyle Mashburn, Madison (Lauren) Mashburn, Maxwell Mashburn, Danielle Swanson, Kelsey Swanson, Kalie (C.J. Patrick) Swanson and Kristopher Swanson; three great-grandchildren, Avery Swanson, Sami Griffin, Wren Patrick and was excited for Amber & Jerry bringing her a new great-grandchild into the world soon; sister, Nancy Willis of Michigan City, Indiana along with her pet cat...Oreo: She was preceded in death by grandchildren, TIffany Winter and Derek Swanson, daughter-in-law, Gina Mashburn; five brothers, Herman Carter, Hobart Carter, John "Jack" Carter, Thomas Carter, David Carter; six sisters, Kathryn Jean Marciniak, Rosalia Keller, Carol Carter, Sarah DiPaolo, Doris Resteau and Gertrude Hamilton;  
Her new found hobby was coloring pages from coloring books to occupy her time.
