Rose M. (Gottal) Craft

Rose M. Craft, 92, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:58 pm at her home in Michigan City, Indiana.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.     

She was born October 8, 1928 in Chicago, IL to the late Paul and Rose (Bickel) Gottal. On June 25, 1949 in Chicago, IL she married Edward Craft who preceded March 29, 2011.

Surviving are two sons, David Craft of La Porte, IN, Richard Craft of Michigan City, IN; two daughters, Christine Pierce of FL, Diane (Dan) Kanneth of Highland Park, MI; five grandchildren, Jonathon (Raquel) Pierce, Michael Pierce, Heather Ransom, Nicole (Sam) Powell, Jeremiah Kanneth; two great-grandchildren, Luke Hamilton, Kelsey Ransom. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.    

Rose was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Michigan City, Indiana. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Rose loved being in nature, going camping, and spending time with her dogs and cats. She was a member of Lighthouse Players and loved being part of theatrical plays, she even had a roll in the movie East of Eden. One of her greatest joys was family gatherings and being with family.
