Robert Ward Obituary

Robert A. Ward, 62, Crown Point, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 7:35 am at his home in Crown Point, Indiana.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, Indiana. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana is handling arrangements.

He was born April 28, 1958 in Michigan City, IN to the late Dale and Francis (Masterson) Ward.

Surviving are ex-wife, Lois Ward of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Joshua (Heather) Ward of La Porte, IN, Daniel (Lily) Ward of Michigan City, IN; three grandchildren, Scarlett Ward, Gabriel Ward, Carter Ward; two brothers, Larry Ward of La Porte, IN, Richard (Christine) Ward of La Porte, IN; two sisters, Donna Bunch of Chesterton, IN, Cynthia (James) Young of La Porte, IN; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Dale Gene Ward.

Robert worked 25 years for the United States Postal Service. He was very active with his sons in the Boy Scouts when they were younger. Robert enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and playing golf. He was also a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
