Robert Sylvan Rose, 92, Michigan City, IN, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025 at 3:55 pm in his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, August 7, 2025 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 10:00 am Thursday at the church. The family requests wearing something red or Indiana University apparel.  The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

He was born March 17, 1933 in Michigan City, IN to the late Sylvan and Mary (Deets) Rose. On May 14, 1960 in Michigan City, IN he married Angeline Zezula who preceded him on February 25, 2017.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Rose of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Robert Rose of Long Beach, IN and Jeffrey (Denise) Rose of Laguna Niguel, CA; and three grandchildren, Erik, Hannah and Laura.

Bob was the retired president and cofounder of General Insurance Services and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and Michigan City Exchange Club.
