Robert W. Lasater
April 5, 1944 - August 16, 2023 

Robert W. Lasater, 79, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 4:43 am in VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, Indiana.

Private family services will be conducted with burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana.  Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

He was born April 5, 1944 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late  Walter and Eileen (Cassidy) Lasater.  On April 22, 1967 in Michigan City, Indiana he married Elizabeth Widmer who survives Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are daughter, Robin (Dale) Hungerford of La Porte, Indiana; granddaughter, Brittany (Tony) Pickett of Hamlet, Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Sophia,  Brayden, and Colden Pickett; sister, Marguerite "Peggy" Lasater of Haymarket,  Virginia along with many nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by daughter, Diane Culvahouse and  brother-in-law, Frank Hayson;   

Robert retired after 39 1/2 years as a Millwright from ArcelorMittal.  He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard.
