Robert J. Dusza, 73, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 8:37 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with  Rev. Gregory Bim-Merle officiating. Visitation time will be from 11:30 am -12:00 pm, Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

He was born November 15, 1948 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Philip and Caroline (Forney) Dusza. On November 1, 1975 in Michigan City, Indiana he married Lola O'Brien who survives Michigan City, Indiana.  Also surviving are daughter, Idajeanne (Mark) Kmiecik of Michigan City, Indiana;  grandchildren, Wyatt Kmiecik, Marshall Kmiecik, Beau Kmiecik and Calla Kmiecik; Sister-in-law, Carol Dusza of Michigan City, Indiana; He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Kelley along with  two brothers, Donald Dusza and Philip Dusza;   

Robert retired after 42 years as a welder at Jet Fabricators, Michigan City, Indiana.  He was a former member of the Coolspring Township Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Michigan City Aviators Club.  Robert was known for his woodworking, especially building of Bird houses.
