Richard D. Walters, 70, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at 4:56 pm in his home.

Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

He was born July 15, 1954 in Michigan City, IN to the late Harold and Berneda (Hildebrant) Walters. 

Surviving are a daughter, Berdina (Shawn) Williams of Michigan City, IN; two grandchildren, Ryan Venters and Davonte' Venters; sister, Barb Smith of Indianapolis, IN; and his brother, Dennis (Lisa) Walters of Westville, IN.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Venters; sister, Shirley Weaver; three brothers, David Walters, Donald Walters and Ronald Walters.   

Richard had worked as a shipping foreman at Paltier, Michigan City, IN. He enjoyed camping and being with his family.
