Remounia Cobbs, 77, of Michigan City passed away on May 23, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving Family.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am,  Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Michigan City, IN. Burial will follow at a later date in Bloomington, IL. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born to Margart L.Witherspoon and Robert Cobbs in Tupelo, Mississippi. 
Surviving are her daughter, Lela ‘Niecy’ Simmons of Michigan City: and her loving Granddaughter, Daraus Amaria Starks of Mableton, GA; one sister Martressa Harris of Huntsville, AL.  Also, surviving are two close friends Deloris Brooks and Elaine Jones and several God Children that she loved as her own. Preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lavell M. Harris; and her Loving Grandmother Lela Witherspoon.

Remounia worked as a Michigan City bus driver for over 30 years, retiring in 2013. Even though her job was challenging at times she enjoyed meeting some very special friends.
