Raymond D. Simmons, Jr., 82, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 1:34 am in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. James Lane, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Saturday  at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

He was born November 29, 1941 in Michigan City, IN to the late Raymond D. and Catherine (Woodard) Simmons, Sr. 

Surviving are two daughters, Lela Simmons of Michigan City, IN and Kyra Simmons of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren; sister, I.Q. (Ronnie) Williams of Michigan City, IN;  and two brothers, Calvin Simmons of Indianapolis, IN and Vernon Simmons of Saint Paul, MN.  

He retired as a receiving forklift driver at Weil McLain. Raymond enjoyed golfing and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
