Phyllis J. Rapp, 84, Michigan City, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 8:45 pm in her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with  Pastor Mark Reshan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

She was born September 27, 1936 in Michigan City, IN to the late Vincent and Louise (LaBorn) Milzarek. On March 17, 1956 in Michigan City, IN she married James Rapp who preceded her on November 27, 2006.

Surviving are a daughter, Lorine Nowatzke of Michigan City, IN; grandson, Tyler (Deanna) Nowatzke of LaPorte, IN; three great-grandchildren, Lexi, Leighton and Luke; sister, Carlene (Emerson) Wood of Denver, IN; three nieces, Pam (Grant) Carpenter, Rebecca (Ty) Mungle and Cindy (Sean) Stoner; great-nieces and great-nephews, Mary, Katie, John, Drew, Riley, John Bailey and Peyton; and god-daughter, Lynn (Brent) Gibbs of Cape Coral, FL.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory Rapp; and step-father, Robert Parker, Jr..   

Phyllis was a beautician who owned Beechwood Beauty Boutique. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. 2536 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, yard work and going to the V.F.W. 2536.
