Philip J. Miziniak, 83, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 9:35 am in his home.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10:00 am, April 30, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Visitation hours will be Thursday from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm, and from 8:30 am until 9:30 am Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.  The St. Joseph Young Men's Society will recite the Rosary at 6:30 pm Thursday evening in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.  Full military services will be conducted Friday in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana.

He was born September 24, 1937 in Malinow, Poland to the late Stanislaus and Anna (Hatala) Miziniak. On November 1, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois he married Halina Janus, who survives Michigan City, Indiana; Also surviving are two sons, Philip (Kaye) Miziniak of Iron Mountain, Michigan, Edmund (Ina Tatarova) Miziniak of Chicago, Illinois; three Grandchildren, Emily Miziniak, Kathryn Miziniak and Philip John Wallace Miziniak; two sisters, Frances McFay of New Mexico and  Stella (Donald) Wilmot of New Lennox, Illinois; He was preceded in death by his brother, Jan Miziniak;   

Phil  was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Michigan City, Indiana where he served as an usher for many years.  He was past president (1992) of the St. Joseph Young Men's Society and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.  He retired after 25 years with NIPSCO as a mechanic and worked for 17 years at Owens Motor Supply in the machine shop.
