Penny S. Emerson, 63, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 3:09 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm -6:00 pm, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.

She was born August 28, 1957 in Elkhart, IN to Leonard and Ester (Conrad) Decelles.

Surviving are son, Stephen (Diana) Weiss of Michigan City, IN; grandson, Dimitrius Weiss of Michigan City, IN; three sisters, Cathy (Mike) Nolan of Valparaiso, IN, Cindy Lowry of St. Louis, MO, Peggy Armstong of Camak, GA.

Penny worked for many years doing clerical work for Graycor Construction in Portage. She was very passionate about dogs which prompted her to start her business called BARC (Begin Again Rescue Co.) where she spent a lot of her time rescuing dogs and placing them in homes.
