Penelope M. McFadden, 75, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at 10:16 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with  Chaplain Barbara Wisthoff officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday at the funeral chapel.    

She was born July 11, 1948 in Gary, IN. On February 5, 1975 in Michigan City, IN she married Charles McFadden who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are a daughter, Amanda (David) Naddaf of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Anthony McFadden of Idaho and Aaron McFadden of Bel Air, MD; five grandchildren, Selena, Sierra, Alena, Youssef and Brooke; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Ramiro; five brothers, Harvey Brooks of Appleton, WI, William Brooks of Warrenton, MO, Lloyd (Shirley) Brooks of Chesterton, IN, Patrick Brooks of Colorado and David Brooks of Knox, IN; and two half sisters, Barbara and Amy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harlin Brooks; mother, Cleo Loney; two sisters, Karen Wineland and Jane Doidge; and her brother, Arden Brooks.  

Penelope retired as a nurse at Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home, La Porte, IN. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, crocheting and camping.
