Patrick Dougherty, 86, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 10:56 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 28, 2023 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, Indiana. Family will greet friends from 10:00 am -11:00 am Friday in the Queen of all Saints Legacy Center. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana 46360.

He was born February 12, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Albert and Grace (Bowling) Dougherty.  Surviving are daughter, Jennefer (Reid) Melnyk, Milton, Florida along with four grandchildren, Macy Melnyk, Jordin Melnyk, Reid Melnyk all of Milton, Florida and Camden Colvin of Michigan City, Indiana,  brother, Robert Dougherty of Chicago, Illinois; He was preceded in death by sister, Grace Dougherty; two brothers, Charles Dougherty, Albert Dougherty;   

Patrick was a Beer sales representative for many years and retired from Indiana Hoosier Lottery as a sales representative.  He was a member of Queen of all Saints Catholic Church, Michigan City Exchange Club, St. Joseph Young Men's Society and the La Porte Co Y.M.C.A. -  Michigan City.  He served in the United States Army  was a huge fan of being a part of Michigan City.
