Norma J. Petersen, 77, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026 at 4:00 am in her home.

Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

She was born February 17, 1948 in Three Oaks, MI to the late Jack and Betty (Gross) McKenzie. 

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Petersen and Erika (Chandler) DiCesare both of La Porte, IN; son, Aaron (Jordan) Petersen of La Porte, IN; six grandchildren, Kaleb, Leah, Conner, David, Mackenzie and Nolan; great-grandchild, Kya; sister, Michelle (Gary) Lozmack of Galien, MI; and her brother, Jack McKenzie of Georgia. 

Norma worked as a medical assistant at Health Partners. She loved animals and being with her family. Norma also enjoyed baking, gardening and camping.
