Nancy L. Staback, 87, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025 at 6:10 pm in her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Zach Glick officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements
She was born March 28, 1938 in Michigan City, IN to the late Richard R. and Stella (Novitske) Scrivnor. On June 7, 1958 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Phillip "Bimbo" - "Bud" Staback who preceded her on December 27, 2017.
Surviving are two daughters, Lynnette (Leon) Kosakowski and Luann (Wade) Barnes, both of Michigan City, Indiana; four sons, Phillip Staback, Jr. of Swanton, Ohio, Patrick (Kim) Staback of Haubstadt, Indiana, Peter (Sharon) Staback of Michigan City, Indiana and Parry (Kim) Staback of Hobart, Indiana; 18 grandchildren, Cindi, Paulena, Jamie, Crystal, Ashley, Lisa, Wendy, Wade, Jr., Nicholas, Kristen, Matthew, Brandon, Amanda, Jessica, Joseph, Zachary, Kate and Lindsey; 34 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Gerald Scrivnor of Tennessee.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard L. Scrivnor.
Nancy had worked as a bartender at Moose Family Center 980. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling in numerous leagues. Nancy was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bears and Notre Dame. The family would like to acknowledge her care givers Jane, Amanda, Kim, Jessica and Riley from Dunes Hospice.
