She was born April 1, 1945 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Barney and Agnes (Levendowski) Wozniak. On July 18, 1964 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Robert J. Marciniak who preceded her in death on  November 11, 2011.   Surviving are a son, James Marciniak  and daughter, Susan Marciniak both of Michigan City, Indiana; grandsons, Jerahmey Dudley, Nathyn Dudley and Averee Dudley and son-in-law, Abraham (Afriyie) Dudley, Jr. all of LaPorte, Indiana; two sisters, Rose Dobkins of Westville, Indiana and Mary Ann (Ken) Pytynia of Michigan City, Indiana along with sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Dudley.

Nancy was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Michigan City, Indiana, where she was a member and past president of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Society, Young at Heart and volunteered for many activities at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church to include working in the kitchen on Tuesday night Bingo and money counter.  She was an extremely talented seamstress assisting with bridesmaid dresses, cheerleading outfits and general alterations.  There are not enough significant words created to describe this woman. Our Mom explained to us how all she truly ever wanted is to be married and be a Mom, throw in a few grandkids to add frosting on the cake.  She hit the nail on the head with those wants.  She loved her entire family and also felt blessed to marry into a loving/caring family.  In addition, her church family was near and dear to her heart.  You could not find hatred in her being and she always looked at the positive side of any situation.  God made an exceptional person to lead by example.  Our memories will never fade.  A monumental thank you goes out to the Michiana Hematology Oncology group in Westville and to the VNA of Northwest Indiana palliative and hospice teams.  They are remarkable and impressive people.
