Michael A. Tews, 77, South Bend, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at 8:00 pm in St. Paul's Life Plan Community, South Bend, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 27, 2026 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor Bruce Carr officiating. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, IN.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Friday at the funeral chapel.    

He was born January 1, 1949 in Michigan City, IN to the late Kenneth and Janet (Fox) Tews.

He was also preceded in death by  his brother, Terrence Tews.

Michael had worked at Meijer's and was a caregiver to his parents. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Michigan City, IN. He enjoyed bowling and watching sports. Michael enjoyed spending time with his friends that he made over the years and he will be missed.
