Michael G. "Mick" Richmond , 76, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 11:31 am in his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Entombment will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday and from 8:30 am - 9:30am Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.
He was born February 21, 1949 in Michigan City, IN to the late Forrest and Angela (Lubiniecki) Richmond. On September 1, 1973 in New Buffalo, MI he married Katherine Mulzon who preceded him on April 4, 2024.
Surviving are daughter, Kimberly Riley of Michigan City, IN; son, Brian (Jennifer) Richmond of Michigan City, IN; four grandchildren, Natalie (Corey) McDonogh, Ryne Riley, Lucas Richmond and Brenna Richmond; great-granddaughter, Ayva Riley; three sisters, Christine (David) Smith, Nancy Brummer and IN Karen Frederickes all of Michigan City, IN; and two brothers, Richard Richmond and Thomas Richmond, both of Michigan City, IN.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sue Walters; wife.
Mick retired after 30 years as an electrician at Sullair Corp and was the former owner of Center Stage Music and Crosstown Liquors, both in Michigan City. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where he sang in the choir and volunteered for whatever was need. Mick loved music, being involved with many different bands in the local area. He also was the promoter for the Michigan City Music Festival as well as the sound system and lighting manager for the Michigan City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Northwest Indiana Symphony.
