Matthew J. Tanski, 45, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:08 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

He was born February 2, 1976 in Michigan City, IN.

Surviving are his mother, Deborah Baird of Michigan City, IN; father, Michael Tanski of Michigan City, IN; sister, Marcy Tanski of Michigan City, IN; niece, Josephine Bourn of Michigan City, IN; grandparents, John & Patricia Baird of Michigan City, IN and Joseph Tanski of Fort Wayne, IN; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog, Bella.    

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Marilyn Tanski and Sally and Donald Powers.

Matthew was a electrician with the I.B.E.W. Local in Orlando, FL. He enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing, hiking and the outdoors.
